Coal Communications Kit
Presented by ACC's Tomorrows Leadership Council
Tuesday, December 15, 2015 ~ 2:30 - 3:30 pm Eastern
Our industry must continue to grow outreach and build bridges to counter misinformation about coal. We must educate others about the value of coal to our economy (jobs, royalty payments, taxes, etc.), infrastructure, and energy supply, and to highlight coal’s increasingly clean environmental profile. To facilitate these exchanges, coal sector employees and representatives need tools and information that they can easily access, understand, and share.
Join us as the American Coal Council’s 2015 Tomorrows Leadership Council presents the Coal Communications Kit they have developed for coal outreach and education. This is a hands-on tool for use in both personal and professional settings. It will:
• Provide simple, useful facts and information that any coal stakeholder can easily access and use to share the importance, value, and benefits of coal
• Offer help, hints, and instructions on the use of social media, email, fact sheets, online sources, video, publications, and strategic communications tools to aid in outreach
Whether on an airplane, at a school or community event, seeking to inform relatives and friends, or interacting with media, government, and the public, the Coal Communications Kit will help you successfully engage to inform and educate.

The ACC’s Tomorrow’s Leadership Council (TLC) is designed to advance and vest executive talent in the coal industry. TLC provides a meaningful opportunity for up-and-coming executives to enhance their industry knowledge and networks through projects and activities that advance industry-wide objectives as well as professional development goals.
The American Coal Council’s Coal Q&A Program provides a forum to address critical issues affecting the U.S. coal industry ~ including coal producers, consumers and transporters. Each program begins with a topic briefing by a leading industry analyst or representative, followed by a Q&A session.
